What Is Vibe Coding?
"Vibe coding" is the practice of building software primarily through natural language instructions to an AI coding assistant, rather than writing code manually. The term was popularized by Andrej Karpathy in early 2025 and has since become shorthand for the entire AI-assisted development workflow: describing intent, having AI generate implementation, reviewing output, iterating through conversation.
